XMLmind XML Editor Web Edition

XMLmind XML Editor Web Edition (XXEW for short) is a 100% JavaScript, lightweight, streamlined, implementation of XMLmind XML Editor running in the web browser, thus not requiring any installation on the user side (AKA online XML editor or web-based XML editor). Requirements:

  • A very recent version of Google Chrome or any browser using the same Blink browser engine: Edge, Opera, Brave, etc. Firefox works fine too, but without system clipboard integration. (Safari is currently not supported. All mobile web browsers are definitely not supported.)
  • Port 18079 which is used by default by xxeserver, the backend of XXEW, must not be blocked by your anti-virus, firewall, proxy, etc.

Restrictions which are specific to this demo:

  • Lets you create documents or modify any of the demo documents which come with XMLmind XML Editor Desktop, but will not let you save your changes. (As a consequence, the autosave facility is disabled.)
  • May not be used to edit local XML files.
  • xxeserver, the backend of XXEW, is configured to support only 10 concurrent users.
