6. Lists

Clicking the "The "List" toolbar button List" toolbar button displays a menu.

Add a list element having attribute type="gloss" after caret position[1].

In TEI, a p element may have a list child element. However, except for a list element having attribute rend="runon" or rend="inline", this element arrangement does not make much sense. That's why the above menu entries will take great care to never add a list inside a paragraph.

Convert a paragraph to a list

Another easy way to create a list is to use the The "Increase nesting level" toolbar button ("Increase nesting level") toolbar button. This button converts selected p element to an item, automatically creating the parent list element if needed too. More information about this facility below.
